The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just assigned departments to prepare procedures to implement road projects connecting with Dong Nai province. Currently, many connecting projects between the two localities are being accelerated.
Ring Road 3 (Tan Van - Nhon Trach section) has been put into operation; the remaining sections currently reach about 72% of the volume and are expected to be completed before June 30, 2026.
Bien Hoa - Vung Tau, Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressways and the expansion of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway are also being implemented according to plan, striving to be completed in 2026.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai have agreed to deploy a series of new bridge and road projects to strengthen the connection between the two localities in the coming time.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to urgently review and advise the unit to prepare a report proposing investment policies to upgrade and expand the D. T741C route (section in Bau Bang commune).
The Department of Finance advises on arranging capital plans for the project to build a road connecting from Go Cong intersection to Long Hung bridge.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board to be the agency preparing to invest in the DT. 746E road project connecting Tan Hien bridge to Ring Road 4 (about 5 km) to promote the effectiveness of the Tan Hien bridge project.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to coordinate with relevant units, submit to the City People's Committee and the People's Council to assign the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee as the managing agency to implement 3 connecting bridge projects.
These are bridges in the D8 road and inter-regional road project of Binh Duong province before; bridges on DT. 14 road (Thai Hoa ward, Tan Uyen city before); bridges from Tan Ba intersection (DT. 747A, Tan Uyen) connecting D.21 road (Tan Hanh ward, Bien Hoa).
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction coordinates with the Dong Nai Department of Construction to study and determine the scale, number of lanes and end point of the Cat Lai bridge project towards Ho Chi Minh City (My Thuy - Nguyen Thi Dinh intersection area), ensuring the road boundary of Nguyen Thi Dinh street and the possibility of traffic opening throughout the area.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction supports investors to survey and prepare dossiers for the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 51 phase 2 according to the public-private partnership (PPP) method, BOT contract (build - operate - transfer).
Complete procedures to start construction of 3 connecting bridge projects (Cat Lai bridge, Phu My 2 bridge, Long Hung bridge) in the second quarter of 2026. These projects started groundbreaking on January 15, 2026.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction is also assigned to preside over and coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Planning and Architecture, Dong Nai Department of Construction and related units to propose planning and prepare for investment in 3 bridge projects connecting Nha Bich commune (Dong Nai) with Phuoc Thanh commune (Ho Chi Minh City).
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Agriculture and Environment to direct relevant units to accelerate progress, complete compensation, support and resettlement for the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway expansion project and related projects.
The Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board is assigned to urgently complete investment preparation dossiers for projects including: Thanh Hoi 2 bridge, Tan An bridge and renovation, upgrading, and expansion of Nguyen Thi Dinh road (from My Thuy intersection to Cat Lai ferry).
