The results of the removal are expected to bring in more than VND18,000 billion in revenue to the budget. At the same time, it will help investors complete legal procedures to implement construction in accordance with the planning, avoiding land waste.
In particular, with the I-Home project, resolving legal issues will help grant Land Use Rights Certificates to 498 cases that have purchased apartments, ensuring the legitimate rights of the people.
From May 31, 2023, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has established a Working Group to resolve difficulties in investment projects, helping projects continue to be implemented and completed on schedule. The goal is to optimize resources, promote socio-economic development, growth for Ho Chi Minh City and avoid wasting resources.
The Working Group is headed by Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai, Vice Chairman in charge of urban areas as Deputy Head, and members are leaders of relevant departments and branches and Chairmen of People's Committees of districts with projects facing difficulties.
Since its reorganization, the Working Group has held 10 meetings, reviewed and resolved difficulties for 33 projects, and directed the handling of 41 projects that did not meet legal conditions related to land use rights for implementation.
Recently, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has issued a plan to implement measures to handle projects and works that are backlogged, stopped, or behind schedule; and works, headquarters, and offices that are not in use or are not being used effectively.
The city will focus on about 10 - 20 outstanding projects that can be completely handled in 2024 to create a common driving force.
Currently, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai and 5 vice chairmen are directly directing the removal of a series of stalled projects, speeding up the completion progress to avoid waste and loss.
