The Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway Connection Investment Project with Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho Expressway was approved in Decision No. 699/QD-BGTVT dated June 4, 2024 of the Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction).
This project has a total investment of more than 692 billion VND, the Department of Transport of Phu Tho province (now the Department of Construction) is assigned as the project investor. Of which, the value of the construction package is nearly 468 billion VND, the construction unit is Tu Lap Construction Company Limited (from mid-February 2025).
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper in early June, along the Ho Chi Minh road section passing through Ha Loc commune, Phu Ho commune of Phu Tho town, many equipment, vehicles, and raw materials have been brought to the construction site of this project.
The underpasses with large volumes of reinforced concrete have been built into shape, the roadbed is being dug, and the precast components have been gathered at the construction site...
With the construction of the current Ho Chi Minh road surface with a lot of means of transportation, the construction unit has arranged fences, lights and dense warning signs with 5 workers in charge of ensuring traffic safety.
There have been 3 construction teams deployed: Gate 1: Construction of underpass items, precast structures (1 technical officer, 40 workers); Gate 2: Construction of the DT.115B Intersection Overpass item (1 technical officer, 10 workers); Gate 3: Construction of road items (2 technical officers, 15 workers).
According to the design, the project to invest in the route connecting Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway with Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho Expressway will build a main route connecting the two expressways with a total length of over 2.73 km, including 4 lanes, with the design of the A1 elevated road surface made of asphalt concrete.
Along with that, the project will build a system of service roads and return roads to connect the local traffic system and bridges, underpasses on a number of level crossings, intersections at other intersection levels...
According to the report of the Phu Tho Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board (project management unit), the construction work to date has reached a value of about VND 27,102/467.731 billion, the completed volume focuses on works such as: excavation, bamboo pile construction, underpass, precast components... basically meeting progress.
Regarding disbursement, the project has so far disbursed 137.376/692.565 billion VND (19.84%), of which: Consulting cost 11.33 billion VND; construction cost 126 billion VND; other costs; 0.046 billion VND.
Regarding site clearance, the total recovered land area is 3.31 hectares, the total number of affected households is expected to be 188 households. Up to now, in Ha Loc commune (3.2 ha), land, crops, trees and architectural objects on the land have been inventoried for 149/166 households, in Phu Ho commune (0.11 ha) there are 16/22 households.
When put into use, the project will help reduce the load on the Ho Chi Minh route, reduce traffic accidents, improve exploitation capacity and investment efficiency of the two main expressways, contributing to promoting socio-economic development.
