On November 1, information from Nghe An Provincial People's Committee said that the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee's Party Committee has just agreed to implement many important investment projects in the area, contributing to promoting economic growth, attracting investment and creating jobs for workers.
Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee unanimously approved the investment policy of the Quynh Lap LNG Thermal Power Plant Project in Quynh Mai Ward. The project has a total area of about 67.28 hectares, a capacity of 1,500MW (including 2 750MW plants), an LNG tank with a capacity of 250,000m3, LNG recycling system and a specialized port at Dong Hoi Wharf - Nghe An Seaport Area. The project is expected to supplement a stable power source for the national power system, meeting the energy demand for industrial and service development.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee also agreed on the investment policy for the Thanh Vinh Leather Shoe Factory and Rental Factory Project in Bach Ngoc Commune. The project has a total investment of nearly 490 billion VND, a scale of more than 190,000m2, and a designed capacity of 20 million products/year. The goal is to develop the production of leather shoes for export, while building a system of factories for rent, meeting the needs of expanding production of businesses in the electronics and garment sectors, creating stable jobs for local people.
In addition, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee's Party Committee also gave opinions on the plan to handle the PV projects on Vuc Mau and Khe Go lakes; the A Dong Driving Training and Testing Center Project; proposed to change the purpose of using rice-growing land to invest in Quynh Loc Industrial Cluster (Tan Mai Ward).
The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee also agreed on the investment policy to build a new headquarters for the Provincial Party Committee and specialized agencies, advise on the Provincial Party Committee's work, and give opinions on the draft Project on Digital Transformation in the province's political system, aiming to build a digital government and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the administrative apparatus.
