According to Lao Dong, on Phu Dinh Street (Phu Dinh Ward), from about 6pm, water from Doi Canal rose rapidly, overflowing the shore, causing many sections of the road to be submerged in water.
People had to use sandbags and barriers to prevent water from flooding into their homes, but many places were still flooded with nearly half a wheel. Vehicles have difficulty moving, many people have to walk through the cloudy water.

Mr. Truong Thanh Nha, who has lived in this area for more than 20 years, said that from around the 8th to the 12th lunar month, in the first and middle of the month, high tides will rise, causing flooding.
"Every house here has to block the water and move their belongings up high. Some days, the floodwaters flooded into the house, damaging many household items," said Mr. Nha.

Not far away, Ms. Kim Lan (70 years old) said she has been used to living with flooding for many years, but each high tide is still a big concern.
"The water flooded into the house, sometimes up to the knees. Every time there is a flood, we have to wade through the whole water, sometimes in the flooded afternoon, late at night, and again in the morning. The most serious thing is that some businesses cannot open their doors due to floodwaters, customers do not come, and all the goods are wet," Ms. Lan said.

According to Ms. Lan, this is a big tide, so people have to brace their belongings to put on shelves or carry them up to the attic. "I'm old, I can't stand the sight of splashing water like that. I just hope the rain will be less, the high tide will recede soon so that I can still do business and live normally," said Ms. Lan.
Many households in this area said that despite raising their house floors many times, they still could not escape the flooding. Low roads are surrounded by water, making traffic difficult, and business is stagnant.

According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, the tide level at Phu An and Nha Be stations is approximately equal to or higher than the alarm level III. High tides are forecast to continue in the next few days, continuing to cause flooding in low-lying areas.
