The tractor-trailer fire occurred on My Phuoc - Tan Van road, passing through Tan Dong Hiep ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
Initial information, at around 8:00 p.m. on August 6, a container truck was traveling on My Phuoc - Tan Van road. When approaching the intersection with Bui Huu Nghia Street, the car cabin suddenly caught fire.
Discovering the incident, the driver immediately pushed the car close to the median strip and got into the car and shouted for help. People nearby used mini fire extinguishers to help put out the fire but were unsuccessful. The fire became more and more intense, engulfing the entire cabin of the vehicle.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police - Ho Chi Minh City Police dispatched specialized vehicles and officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire. About 15 minutes later, the fire was controlled. However, the cabin of the car was burned down, many parts were severely damaged.
The fire occurred on a road with a very high density of freight vehicles, causing local traffic impacts.
Currently, the authorities are continuing to regulate traffic and handle the scene of the fire.
