On June 4, information from the Working Group on the peak period of anti-smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and intellectual property infringement in Quang Binh province, from May 28 to June 2, the authorities discovered 6 violations; of which 2 cases were handled, fined 6.6 million VND, the remaining 4 cases are under investigation. The value of the infringing goods is estimated at over 2.4 billion VND.
At Cha Lo International Border Gate, in the first 5 months of 2025, the control force discovered and handled 27 administrative violations, arrested 4 cases of illegal drug transportation. The seized evidence included 10kg of marijuana and many synthetic drugs.
The People's Committee of Quang Binh province requires functional forces to continue to step up inspection and control with focus and key points, focusing on sensitive groups such as new drugs, functional foods, processed foods, etc. During the implementation process, units must avoid overlap and not miss areas, while ensuring that they do not hinder the legitimate production and business activities of businesses and people.
