On the afternoon of September 29, the authorities deployed to salvage one of the two sunken fishing boats on the coast of Thanh Hai village, Bac Trach commune, Quang Tri province.
Directly present to direct the scene were Mr. Le Ngoc Quang - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Colonel Tran The Hien - Deputy Director of the Department of Rescue, General Staff, Deputy Chief of Office of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee; Colonel Ngo Nam Cuong - Deputy Commander of the 4th Military Region; Mr. Tran Phong - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Civil Defense Command.
The salvage was to search for missing people, but so far 9 people have not been found.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, at 11:30 p.m. on September 28, two fishing vessels BV-92756-TS and BV-92754-TS with 13 crew members anchored on the North shore, Xuan Loc residential group, Bac Gianh ward, had their anchor broken, drifted freely and had an accident. 4 crew members swam to shore safely, the remaining 9 people are currently missing.
Currently, the salvage of the BV-92754-TS ship is being urgently carried out, while the rescue force continues to expand the search area for the missing crew members.
