The National Exhibition Center, built in Dong Anh district (Hanoi), started construction at the end of August 2024 with a scale of more than 90 hectares. The total investment capital is more than 7,000 billion VND.
Recorded on June 4, after more than 8 months of construction, the main items of this project are now entering the completion stage with rapid progress.
The main exhibition house is designed in the image of the god Kim Quy with an outside diameter of about 360m, the dome is higher than 56m and is almost completed. Currently, only a part of the canopy is under construction. Exterior glass, main doors and side doors, electromechanical systems are being installed.


The main exhibition house with a massive arched roof structure requires nearly 30,000 tons of steel with a structure designed with a safety coefficient twice that of normal standards. 100% of the screws were tightened for a second inspection and no errors in force were detected.
As scheduled, the glass fabric roofing of the exhibition will be completed on June 10. This is a light but super durable material, translucent, meeting green architectural standards, saving energy.


Meanwhile, the Conference Center and Exhibition Center items located behind the main exhibition hall are being accelerated.
With a large indoor and outdoor exhibition space, the National Exhibition Center will replace the Giang Vo Exhibition Center and become the largest exhibition in Vietnam.

At the progress inspection on May 19, the Prime Minister, Pham Minh Chinh requested that by the end of July July, 2025 must basically complete the construction. Completed and put into use, welcoming and serving the achievements of the country on the occasion of 80 years of the August Revolution and National Day 2.9.
The National Exhibition and Convention Center, built and completed in more than 11 months, will set many new records in construction, affirming remarkable progress in technology and engineering in Vietnam.
