Searching for pickup truck driver who blatantly climbed the sidewalk in Ho Chi Minh City

HCMC - An Suong Traffic Police Team is verifying and searching for the pickup truck driver who brazenly climbed the sidewalk to cross the congested lane, causing outrage on social networks.

On September 22, a clip recording the scene of a pickup truck moving on Nguyen Van Bua Street, Xuan Thoi Son Commune (HCMC) was widely shared.

Instead of going on the main lane that was congested, the driver of this car allowed the car to climb onto the sidewalk. A part of the vehicle was still running on the road, while the other two wheels were "stuck" on the sidewalk, swerving past a container truck. This action not only violates traffic laws but also endangers pedestrians.

In the clip, the cameraman asked an elderly man riding a bicycle to pick up a bottle to see if this pickup truck had collided with it. The old lady replied, "no, it swerved the head, it came out close", and said that this pickup truck was running close to the side to avoid container trucks.

Immediately after the clip was posted, the driver's behavior was met with much criticism from the online community. Many people expressed their anger and called on the authorities to "hotly handle" the case.

According to initial information, the An Suong Traffic Police Team (Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police) has grasped the incident and is urgently verifying to strictly handle the driver who violated the law.
