On August 29th, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Dong Nai City Construction Investment Project Management Board said that they had directed contractors to focus machinery, vehicles and personnel to continue construction throughout the September 2nd holiday to promptly bring the project to upgrade and expand road 25B (Ton Duc Thang road) section from the center of Nhon Trach ward to National Highway 51 to the finish line on schedule.
According to the Dong Nai City Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project has now completed construction and opened to traffic the main left section. Contractors are focusing on constructing the main right section, the parallel road on both sides of the main route, along with bridges, technical culverts, underpasses for people and lighting systems.
Regarding the site clearance work, there is still 2% that has not been handed over, currently the investor is drastically coordinating with local authorities and functional agencies to complete the section that is still entangled in the Hiep Phuoc intersection area (Nhon Trach ward).
The project to upgrade and expand road 25B section from the center of Nhon Trach ward to National Highway 51 has a length of more than 9.2km, started in December 2024, with a total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND and is being expanded to 10 lanes.
The 25B road upgrade and expansion project along with the 25C road construction project (from Huong Lo 19 to National Highway 51) are being simultaneously implemented, which are 2 projects implemented by Dong Nai to create 2 traffic axes connecting from Long Thanh airport to Ho Chi Minh City and vice versa.
According to the plan, roads 25B and 25C will connect Long Thanh airport through National Highway 51 to the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City, reducing the load on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway.
Dong Nai City People's Committee has also requested Nhon Trach and Long Thanh wards to accelerate progress and soon hand over the entire site to complete the 25B road project and put it into operation at the end of 2026.
