On October 31, it was noted that in Bat Xat commune, many sections of the project have been completed, the road surface is paved with flat, wide asphalt, convenient for travel. In the sections where asphalt is being prepared, vehicles and people will travel more easily than before.
Along the Red River, a series of machines and equipment were mobilized to construct the final items, in order to soon hand over and put the project into use.
At the same time, additional items such as planting trees and installing lighting systems are also being urgently deployed. The early completion of the project contributes to changing the appearance of border traffic infrastructure.
According to the study, the investment project to build a border bridge across the Red River in Ban Vuoc commune and connecting infrastructure will be implemented in the period of 2021 - 2025, including 3 components.
In which, component 1: Construction of a border bridge across the Red River, upgrading Provincial Road 156 from the BV32, BV28 to BV190 intersection (3km long) and renovating the Noi Bai - Lao Cai IC18 expressway intersection.
Component 2: Upgrading the section from Quang Kim Bridge to the BV32, BV28 intersection (8km long) and leveling the road on both sides.
Component 3: Renovate the IC19 intersection.
The total investment of the project is 1,490 billion VND, of which the central budget supports 950 billion VND, the local budget contributes 540 billion VND.
The construction units include Minh Duc General Construction Company Limited, Cuong Thinh Thi Construction Investment Group Joint Stock Company and Dong Hung Development Investment Joint Stock Company.
Regularly traveling on Provincial Road 156 to work in the border gate area, Ms. Nguyen Thi Van (residing in Bat Xat commune) shared: "This road has been built for several years but it is only now that it is almost finished. People are looking forward to the road being completed soon to make travel more and more convenient.
According to the Lao Cai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the site has been almost handed over to the construction unit.
Up to now, the foundation and surface of Provincial Road 156 have been basically completed, the construction value has reached over 96%, contractors are completing the final items to be handed over in time.
"The entire main route, Provincial Road 156, is almost completely completed. Currently, there is only one household stuck in site clearance, the local government is propagating and mobilizing. From now until the end of 2025, the road will be completely completed," said the leader of the Lao Cai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.
