According to the announcement of Nam Ha Tinh Irrigation Company Limited, from 6:00 a.m. on November 1, the unit regulated the overflow of Ke Go lake with a flow of 600m3/s.
Previously, from 5:00 p.m. on October 31, the unit released Ke Go lake with an increase in flow of 450m3/s. Therefore, the flooding level for downstream areas, including Cam Due commune (near Ke Go lake), increased.

On the night of October 31, the authorities and police forces of Cam Due commune organized and supported 226 households with 458 people to evacuate to safety. Households evacuated in low-lying areas in the villages: My Son, My Trung, Quoc Tuan, Chu Trinh, Ai Quoc, Trung Thanh, Phu Thuong, Tran Phu, Phuong Tru, Quoc Tien, Thong, Na Trung.


According to information from the Standing Office of the Command for Natural Disaster Prevention ( Provincial Civil Defense Command), due to the influence of increased cold air combined with high-altitude East winds, in the past 2 days, the province has had heavy to very heavy rain. Rainfall measured at common automatic rain gauge stations is from 300 - 500mm, some places nearly 600mm.
It is forecasted that from now until the end of November 2, Ha Tinh will continue to have very heavy rain. Heavy rain makes rivers in Ha Tinh area likely to experience a flood.
By October 31, the southern localities of Ha Tinh had evacuated people from flooded areas to safety. Of which, Vung Ang ward has 184 households/484 people; Ky Thuong commune has 135 households/166 people; Ky Lac commune has 169 households/220 people; Cam Lac commune has 98 1998 households; Ky Van commune has 317 households/991 people.
To ensure the safety of students, the education sector has directed 50 676 educational institutions with 36,768 students absent from school.

Some communes and wards have flooded houses: Ky Anh commune with 25 households; Ky Khang commune with 130 households; Vung Ang ward with 500 households; Song Tri ward with 323 households; Hoanh Son ward with 34 households; Ky Thuong commune with 24 households; Ky Lac commune with 169 households; Cam Lac commune with 203 households; Ky Van commune with 297 households.

Heavy rain also caused some inter-village and inter-commune roads in localities, Cam Trung, Ky Anh, Ky Khang, Song Tri, Hai Ninh, Vung Ang, Cam Due, Hoanh Son, Ky Van, Ky Thuong, Cam Lac, Ky Hoa, Cam Binh, Ha Huy Tap..., to be partially flooded.
Many provincial and national highways such as DT.551, DT.547, DT.554 National Highway 8, National Highway 12C, National Highway 15, National Highway 1 were flooded and severely eroded. Immediately afterwards, the authorities mobilized machinery and human resources to organize the clearing of soil and rock that had spilled onto the roadway and opened the traffic route.
