It is known that after 5 years of implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in Tuyen Quang province, more than 1,100 billion VND has been mobilized, supporting livelihoods and social security. Thanks to that, tens of thousands of poor households have escaped poverty and have a stable life.
However, the multidimensional poverty rate throughout the province is still high, mainly concentrated in ethnic minority areas, remote and isolated areas, requiring levels and sectors to continue to synchronously implement sustainable poverty reduction solutions in the coming time.
Talking to PV, Ms. Vuong Ngoc Ha - Vice Chairwoman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee - said that the province has researched carefully and is highly determined when setting a target of reducing the poverty rate by 3-4% per year. Therefore, sustainable poverty reduction is identified as one of the breakthroughs of the province in the next term.
To do that, in addition to the State's support through the National Target Programs, Tuyen Quang province determines to promote internal strength, and arouse the spirit of self-reliance in each official and citizen. The action program not only focuses on supporting social security but also shifts its focus to supporting sustainable livelihood development.
Based on the potentials and advantages of the province such as tourism and agriculture and forestry, we have proposed many specific solutions to create jobs and increase income for people with valuable products and services, especially in ethnic minority areas," said the Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee.
In the period 2026 - 2030, Tuyen Quang province also proposed that the Central Government continue to implement a number of key component projects such as supporting funding for projects related to the development of socio-economic infrastructure in poor communes, diversifying livelihoods and developing poverty reduction models. At the same time, developing vocational education and sustainable employment.
