Heavy rain at rush hour has caused many roads and streets such as Dam Quang Trung, Vinh Hung,... in Long Bien ward to be locally flooded, causing serious traffic congestion on surrounding roads.
Especially on Ring Road 2 (direction to Long Bien), vehicles move extremely difficultly. On Vinh Tuy bridge (direction to Long Bien), at some points vehicles are stuck.
Traffic jams stretched from Minh Khai street to Vinh Tuy bridge. In the car lane, many people got out of their cars because they could not move.
Near the end of the bridge by Dam Quang Trung street, both car and motorbike lanes were completely blocked. The cause may be that the Co Linh - Dam Quang Trung intersection section was flooded, some vehicles stalled, causing congestion for vehicles behind," Mr. Viet Anh (Long Bien, Hanoi) shared.
At about 7:50 pm, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Phuong (Long Bien district, Hanoi) said that vehicles on Vinh Tuy bridge in the direction from the inner city to Long Bien could move, but the traffic volume was still large, so the speed was still slow. People who need to travel through this area should consider choosing alternative routes to avoid congestion.
