Quang Ninh - After a period of temporary suspension due to storm No. 1, from 2 pm today (July 5), tourist boats are allowed to operate again, picking up and dropping off tourists to visit Ha Long Bay.

According to representatives of the Waterway Port Authority and Inland Waterway Vehicle Registration of Quang Ninh province, this afternoon, immediately after being allowed to resume operations, the unit issued orders for a number of ships to depart from both ports: Ha Long International Passenger Port and Tuan Chau International Passenger Port.

However, most of them are overnight boats, because the time for daytime sightseeing boats is not much left because they are only allowed to operate again at 2 pm, while they have to take tourists to visit Ha Long Bay and return during the day.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, by noon today (July 5), after going deep inland in the southern province of Guangxi (China), storm No. 1 had weakened into a tropical depression.

At 13:00, the center of the tropical depression was located at about 22.9 degrees North latitude; 108.3 degrees East longitude, over Guangxi province (China). The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was strong at level 7 (50-61 km/h), gusting at level 9, moving in the North-Northeast direction at a speed of 10 km/h.

Forecast for the next 12 hours, the tropical depression will continue to move mainly in the Northeast direction, gradually weakening into a low pressure area and gradually dissipating, no longer capable of directly affecting Vietnam.

The situation of strong winds and big waves in the North of the Gulf of Tonkin is still maintained. It is necessary to pay attention to forecast bulletins about dangerous weather at sea.

This is the last news about storm No. 1.
