Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Liet signed a decision approving the Master Plan for the construction of Mang Thit Brick and Pottery Kiln Area, Mang Thit District, Vinh Long Province until 2045.
According to the decision, the scope and boundaries of the planning area are in the communes of My An, My Phuoc, Nhon Phu and Hoa Tinh in Mang Thit district. The scale of the planning area is about 3,060 hectares.
The nature of the project is the key tourist area of the province, oriented as a national tourist area, playing an important role in promoting socio-economic development. Especially tourism for Vinh Long province in particular and the Mekong Delta region in general.
The decision also clearly states the goal of exploiting the overall values and potentials, developing community tourism into one of the economic pillars in a sustainable development relationship with other economic sectors, the environment and society. At the same time, ensuring national security and defense, forming a landscape - heritage - service ecosystem.
Orientation of space organization, land use planning, technical infrastructure, social infrastructure as the basis for zoning planning, detailed planning, and construction investment management.
Create a legal basis for planning to implement the next steps of investment management, construction and socio-economic development according to the plan.
The total population forecast of the planning area by 2030 is about 34,200 people, of which the population of the planning area is about 23,200 people, and the other temporary population is about 11,000 people.
The total population of the planning area by 2045 is forecast to be about 61,900 people, of which the population of the planning area is about 32,300 people and the other temporary population is about 29,600 people.
The spatial development structure of the planning area takes the core area along Thay Cai canal as the center, the functional areas are linked to the main roads Provincial Road 902, Provincial Road 909, Provincial Road 907 connecting from the core area along Thay Cai canal to the center of Vinh Long city, Mang Thit district center, Long Ho district center, Vung Liem district center, Cho Lach district center. Developing rural residential areas to expand to the West and Southeast, creating an ecological agricultural belt - buffer zone surrounding the core area.
The main spatial axes of the area are a series of service, tourism and commercial works along both sides of Thay Cai canal, provincial road 902, and National Highway 57 bypass (Dinh Khao Bridge access road).
The open space axes will be a system of green landscape trees, green parks - sports, green trees along canals, combined with a semi-flooded landscape system.
The planning area is divided into 9 sub-areas including: Mixed development area (Service - Tourism - Rural residential area), land area of about 347.10ha; Mixed development area (Service - Urban residential area), land area of about 251.25ha; My An - Hoa My residential area, land area of about 416.76ha; Cai Nhum ecological residential area, area of about 167.42ha; My Phuoc ecological resort, area of about 106.43ha, My Phuoc ecological residential area, area of about 253.76ha, Nhon Phu ecological residential area, area of about 309.78ha, Hoa Tinh ecological resort, area of about 194.87ha; Ecological agricultural area associated with brick and pottery kilns, area of about 1,012.61ha.
