Accordingly, the Standing Committee of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee assigned the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant departments and branches to research and develop a plan to protect and promote the value of Dam Vac Lake in conjunction with the development of urban areas, entertainment areas, residential areas, and creating ecological landscapes.
The initial preliminary planning scheme, with a total capital of about 1,200 billion VND, will be implemented in 2025 and the 2026-2028 period, including expanding the lake area, building a walking path around the lake; a park system and dredging the lake bed.
Dam Vac Lake is invested to beautify the urban area, complete the infrastructure, landscape architecture of the lake area and surrounding areas; build parks, create live theater on the water surface, recreate the natural ecosystem; best promote the values of the lake and surrounding areas to become a new attractive tourist and resort destination, classy, attached to nature, friendly to the environment.
Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee Duong Van An said that the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee agreed on the policy of having an investment and renovation project to promote the value of Dam Vac Lake in the direction of continuing to develop and expand the lake in places where it can be expanded without affecting life, environment and landscape.
On that basis, assign specialized agencies to publicize the preliminary plan on mass media to create consensus among the people; study the architectural competition plan for the project in combination with the ideas of experts, architects and the opinions of the people.
In particular, strive to start the project on the occasion of the 18th Provincial Party Congress in 2025, to demonstrate Vinh Phuc province's rise with the country in the new era.
Dam Vac Lake has a lake bed area of about 150 hectares, the deepest area is about 4.5 m, formed from the bulge of Canh River, located in the South of Vinh Yen City.
