On March 22 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Department of Physical Training and Sports, the Vietnam Olympic Committee, the Vietnam Paralympic Committee in coordination with the Hanoi People's Committee organized the " Glory of Vietnam Sports 2025" Program to reward and honor 26 individuals and groups that have been voted in the list of outstanding national coaches, athletes and athletes of the 2024 sports festival and outstanding Vietnamese coaches and athletes for the disabled in 2024.
Among the outstanding athletes and coaches who deserve to be honored for their contributions to the country's sports, the election of outstanding national athletes and coaches by journalists in 2024 has recognized the efforts and tries in training and competition of outstanding athletes, coaches and sports teams to contribute to the country's sports career.
This " Glory of Vietnam Sports" program will honor 10 athletes, 5 coaches, 3 sports teams, 5 athletes for the disabled and 3 outstanding athletes for the disabled who have achieved outstanding results in 2024.
Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized at the event: "This is a program to honor coaches and athletes who have achieved high results in the training process to compete in a glorious victory for Vietnamese sports. At the same time, Vietnamese sports also aim for programs in activities on Olympic Running Day and the celebration of Vietnam Sports Federation Day on March 27".
In particular, also at this event, the Organizing Committee held a ceremony to announce and award the Third Class Labor Medal of the President to athlete Le Van Cong and coach Le Quang Thai.
Along with the annual awards, this year, the Organizing Committee coordinated with Tiktok to open a gate for fans to vote in 3 categories dedicated to the digital platform including: Most Favorite Athlete on TikTok; Most Favorite Sports Team on TikTok; Most Favorite Football Player on TikTok. This is the first time an exclusive sports voting category on digital platforms has been held - where fans can directly support their idols with votes.

To celebrate Vietnam Sports Day this year, the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" and "Olympic Running Day for the health of all people" continue to take place. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Campaign and the 10th anniversary of the Olympic Running Day for the Health of All People. nearly 1,000 delegates, guests, coaches, and athletes participated in the race in response to the Olympic Running Day for the Health of All People at the Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center.

Also at the program, the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports launched a response to the 33rd SEA Games and the 13th ASEAN para Games held in Thailand.
