Regarding the fire that broke out at a business in the An Ngai Industrial Cluster, Long Dien District on the evening of October 6, Mr. Huynh Son Tuan - Secretary of the District Party Committee - said that although the fire was very large, initially there were no recorded casualties.
According to Mr. Tuan, the fire broke out quite suddenly on the evening of October 6 and quickly spread, however, because it was a holiday, there were no workers working, only a few people on duty as required. Upon receiving the information, the district leaders quickly arrived at the scene to direct local forces to participate in firefighting.
"To quickly control the fire, the fire department of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province was mobilized to support. At the same time, there was very heavy rain at the time of the fire, increasing the ability to control the fire. By 9:00 p.m., about 2/3 of the fire was basically controlled," Mr. Tuan informed.
After the fire is controlled, depending on the situation and actual damage, local authorities will consider a support plan for the business and its workers, because it is likely to affect the work and lives of about 2,500 workers working for this business.
Previously, at around 8pm, a fire broke out at C.C Company (operating in the field of leather shoe production) in this industrial cluster. The fire quickly broke out due to the presence of many flammable materials.
Currently, the authorities have controlled the spread of the fire, and are actively controlling the fire and completely extinguishing it.
5,000m2 fire was extinguished in more than 2 hours
At around 10:45 p.m. on October 6, Mr. Huynh Son Tuan - Secretary of Long Dien District Party Committee (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) - informed that the fire at a leather shoe manufacturing enterprise in An Ngai Industrial Park had been completely controlled.
Earlier, at around 8pm the same day, a fire broke out at this business and quickly spread due to the presence of many flammable materials. This information was quickly reported to the authorities.
Upon receiving the information, the fire prevention and fighting force in Long Dien district was urgently mobilized. At the same time, other fire prevention and fighting units across the province were also mobilized to support.
"According to initial statistics, the fire occurred on an area of about 5,000 square meters. Thanks to the efforts of the officers and soldiers, by about 22:20, the fire was completely controlled and initially no human casualties were recorded," Mr. Huynh Son Tuan informed.
After successfully controlling the fire, the authorities sent a team to stay behind to monitor the situation in case of a re-ignition. At the same time, they cordoned off the area to continue to verify and clarify the cause of the fire.
