On the morning of July 21, Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut came to the scene to inspect and direct the resolution of the consequences of the passenger car fire that killed 7 people on National Highway 1A, passing through Hung Thinh commune; at the same time, directing local authorities and police forces to quickly resolve the consequences of the accident, regulate traffic, and protect property for people.

The Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Committee also visited the Trang Bom Regional Medical Center, visited, encouraged, and supported families with deceased victims, and victims being treated at the hospital. The Chairman of the City People's Committee also directed the health system to mobilize all forces to treat the injured victims, directed the police force and local authorities to support transportation for the victims of the accident.
Previously, at about 2 am on July 21, on National Highway 1A, the section passing through Hung Thinh hamlet, Hung Thinh commune, Dong Nai city, a passenger car with license plate 50E-447.02 (24-berth type) driven by driver Tran Thanh Hai (41 years old, residing in Ninh Hai commune, Khanh Hoa province) was traveling on National Highway 1A, heading from Lam Dong province to Ho Chi Minh City. When reaching the above road section, the passenger car suddenly crashed into the roadside railing, catching fire from the front.

Discovering the incident, some people living near the area tried to put out the fire to save people. However, due to the large fire, access and rescue were very difficult.
Upon receiving the information, the Fire and Rescue Police force mobilized people and vehicles to the scene to extinguish the fire. However, because the fire spread too quickly, after the fire was controlled, most of the car was burned down.
According to information from functional agencies, the accident killed 7 people. At the time of the fire, there were 33 passengers on the car along with the driver and assistant driver.
Trang Bom Regional Health Center has received 6 injured cases, including 2 cases transferred to Dong Nai Children's Hospital, 3 cases transferred to Thong Nhat General Hospital for treatment, and 1 case is being treated at the General Surgery Department, Trang Bom Regional Health Center.
