On the morning of January 7, Kim Ngan Commune People's Committee, Quang Tri province confirmed that Kim Thuy Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary School had consolidated leadership personnel after the Principal and Vice Principal were dismissed.
Mr. Ngo Tien Dung - Vice Principal of Ngan Thuy Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Secondary School, was transferred to hold the position of Vice Principal in charge of Kim Thuy Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary School.
Kim Ngan Commune People's Committee said that after having a new leader, all teaching activities at the school took place normally. Regarding the school being fined nearly 200 million VND for administrative violations in the field of food safety, the school and the locality are coordinating to find a solution according to regulations.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, on the morning of September 26, 40 students of the school were hospitalized for emergency treatment after meals due to food poisoning. During the inspection and verification of the incident, Ms. Do Thi Hong Hue was suspended from work twice to serve the investigation and clarify related responsibilities.
Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee also fined the school a total amount of 196.5 million VND, and at the same time suspended the school's kitchen operations for a period of 5 months.
Kim Ngan Commune People's Committee also issued a decision to discipline and dismiss Mr. Do Van My - Principal and Ms. Do Thi Hong Hue - Vice Principal of Kim Thuy Semi-boarding Primary School.
