At 8 am this morning, 15 bodies of Indian tourists were brought to Ha Tien by private ferry, and continued to be transferred to Ho Chi Minh City to be handed over to the relatives of these victims, as requested by the Indian side.
17 other tourists have been carefully and thoughtfully cared for at Sun International Hospital in Phu Quoc. Among them, 16 tourists have been discharged from the hospital, their health is basically stable (12 people have left Phu Quoc this noon, the remaining 4 people are expected to leave the island tonight).
Another person is being actively treated for a background disease, Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City has sent leading professional doctors with many modern specialized medical equipment to Phu Quoc to assist in direct treatment.
In order to share with the victims and their families, the An Giang provincial government, Phu Quoc special zone and businesses decided to support 90 million VND/person (equivalent to 3,400 USD/person) for those who died and 13 million VND/person (equivalent to 500 USD/person) for those who were injured and still alive.
