On the morning of December 29, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Ha Thi Thanh Thuy - Vice Principal of Hoa Mi Kindergarten (Phinh Ho commune, Lao Cai province) said that the school is reporting and seeking opinions from local authorities on the construction of a memorial to philanthropists in the particularly serious traffic accident that killed 9 people in the charity delegation.
Teacher Ha Thi Thanh Thuy added that the construction cost was taken by the school from the support money of Mr. Ha Ngoc Hung (husband of victim Huynh Thi Anh Dao who died in the accident) and given to the school.
According to the Vice Principal of Hoa Mi Kindergarten, Mr. Hung, after receiving support money from Lao Cai province and the Provincial Fatherland Front, donated it back to the school with the desire to fulfill his wife's unfinished wish before her death.

For the school, it is a very painful and heartbreaking event. The hearts of philanthropists towards the school and students in the highlands are very precious, the school also wants to take actions to commemorate the merits and contributions of everyone," Ms. Ha Thi Thanh Thuy added.
Ms. Thuy confided further that she herself was one of the people who went to pick up and lead the charity delegation on the morning of December 27, witnessing that since the car went downhill, collided with the roadside guardrail and the accident, she is still shocked and panicked.
When they reached the top of the slope, the teachers waved to signal the driver to drive slowly, pay attention to the long downhill road, but the car swerved, the teachers called the delegation to remind them, but did not answer the phone. Then the painful incident happened," the Vice Principal choked up.
When they arrived at the scene, everything was cluttered, the car overturned, crumpled, and many people were trapped in the car. Immediately, the teachers and people urgently reported to the local authorities and supported to get people out of the car.

At that time, my hands and feet were weak, my friend took me outside and then lay silently holding my breath, extremely heartbroken. Until now, I still can't sleep, that tragic image always appears in my head," Ms. Thao choked up.
Before the great pain and loss of the families of the victims in the overturned truck carrying the charity delegation in Phinh Ho commune (Lao Cai), the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai province sent a letter of condolences, expressing condolences and gratitude to the kind hearts of the delegation.
According to the Lao Cai Department of Education and Training, the charity delegation originated from the desire to support students in the highlands. Immediately after the tragic accident occurred, the Department directed specialized units and Hoa Mi Kindergarten to coordinate with functional forces to deploy rescue and relief work at the scene.



In the letter, the Department expressed deep gratitude for the charity gesture and shared with the families of the victims before the great loss.
As Lao Dong Newspaper reported, on the morning of December 27, a charity group of 18 people (including the driver) traveled by passenger car with license plate 29B-614.06 from Hanoi to the school point in Ta Ghenh village, Hoa Mi Kindergarten, Phinh Ho commune, Lao Cai province.
At about 7:40 am, at km35 of the road connecting National Highway 32 with Provincial Road 174 (belonging to Mu Thap village, Phinh Ho commune), an accident occurred.
The incident killed 9 people and injured 9 people who are being treated at Viet Duc Hospital and Bach Mai Hospital.
The initial cause was determined to be that during the process of moving downhill, the car suddenly lost its brakes, then crashed into the guardrail and overturned.
Among the victims are educators, journalists and philanthropists who have been attached to charity work for many years, contributing to social security.
