The road to Phinh Ho (Lao Cai province) on the morning of December 27th was supposed to be filled with laughter from young children when the charity group brought warm clothes, new blankets and hot meals to cross the mountain to Ta Ghenh school point. However, only about 3km away from the gift-giving place, an accident claimed the lives of 9 people, leaving unquenchable pain in the difficult highland land.
Ms. Tong Thi Van - Vice Principal of Hoa Mi Kindergarten - said: Ta Ghenh school point has 105 children aged 2-5 years old, all children of the H'Mong ethnic group, in difficult circumstances. After contacting in advance, it is expected that at about 9:30 am on December 27, the charity delegation will arrive to give gifts and organize cooking for the children.
When near the school, the car carrying the charity delegation overturned, killing 9 people and injuring 9 others. The unexpected incident shocked and painfully saddened the school and parents, and students," Ms. Tong Thi Van choked up.

Mr. Phung Manh Quan (37 years old) - head of the charity delegation, the person injured in the overturned car accident - recounted: "The group plans to give gifts including coats, boots, socks, woolen hats, woolen scarves, sandals, gloves, warm blankets, and foam sheets for the classroom floor.
The teachers at the school point asked for an extra loudspeaker and a six-plate rice cooker to support teaching and cooking for children at the school point. When the hearts and meaningful gifts mentioned above were close to the students' hands, unfortunately the car crashed and overturned at a sharp curve.

Among the deceased victims are journalist Nguyen Phuong Thao (born 1979, Me Tri ward, Hanoi City), teacher Phan Trung Anh (born 1995, Bac Giang ward, Bac Ninh province) and many famous charities, regularly participating in activities to help the poor, children in remote areas, making great contributions to social security work...
The charity community was silent before their departure. Many words of farewell filled with tears: "You have lived a life without waste. Thank you for the good things you left behind"; "In the afterlife, please continue to dream of dreams that have not yet been realized"...

Ms. Do Thu, a high school classmate of teacher Phan Trung Anh, also shared: "Trung Anh is a kind, harmonious person, very enthusiastic about charity activities. When hearing the news of his friend's death in an accident, everyone was shocked and heartbroken. This morning (December 28), the homeroom teacher and classmates came early to see him off to his final resting place.
It is known that Ms. Trung Anh's younger sister, Phan Phuong Thao (18 years old), was also on the charity bus and is being treated at the hospital.
As Lao Dong Newspaper reported, on the morning of December 27, a charity group of 18 people (including the driver) traveled by passenger car with license plate 29B-614.06 from Hanoi to the school point in Ta Ghenh village, Hoa Mi Kindergarten, Phinh Ho commune, Lao Cai province.
At about 7:40 am, at km35 of the road connecting National Highway 32 with Provincial Road 174 (belonging to Mu Thap village, Phinh Ho commune), an accident occurred.
The incident killed 9 people and injured 9 people who are being treated at Viet Duc Hospital and Bach Mai Hospital.
The initial cause was determined to be that during the process of moving downhill, the car suddenly lost its brakes, then crashed into the guardrail and overturned.
