Previously, on the evening of April 7, a clip circulated on social networks recording the scene of an elderly woman being cursed and assaulted by a man at a sidewalk eatery, causing public outrage.

The incident is said to have occurred at about 4:35 am on April 7 at a restaurant on the sidewalk on Hoang Van Thu street. At this time, there were 3 people eating at the restaurant. Among them, 1 person wearing a black shirt had a conflict with an elderly woman, who is said to be a waitress at the restaurant.
During the argument, this person suddenly carried a stack of plastic chairs and threw them strongly at the woman. After that, this man also spit, cursed, threatened and continuously assaulted the victim. The incident only stopped when 1 person in the group intervened.
Through verification, the victim is Ms. T.T. L (born 1966), currently being treated at Quy Hoa Central Leprosy - Dermatology Hospital (Quy Nhon Nam ward).
The subject who assaulted Ms. L. is N.V.Y (born 1991, residing in Quy Nhon Nam ward). The 2 people accompanying him are N.V.H (born 1988) and T.V. B (born 1993).

According to Y.'s initial statement, while buying banh beo, an argument occurred between Y. and Ms. L., so Y. attacked the victim. H. and B. then intervened.
Recorded on the morning of April 8, the incident occurred at Banh beo hot Tay Son restaurant, in front of house number 63 Hoang Van Thu street. This is a sidewalk eatery operating day and night.
According to Ms. N.T. H (born in 1984, Quy Nhon Nam ward) - owner of the banh beo shop, Ms. L. (commonly known as Ms. Xiu) is a waitress at the shop, working from 11 pm to morning and renting a room near the shop.
At the time of the incident, only Ms. L. was guarding the shop. After assaulting Ms. L., this subject continued to beat her son.
Some employees at the shop said that Ms. L. lives alone in a rented room, is in difficult circumstances, and has bone and joint diseases, making travel inconvenient. Her son is Mr. T.M. L (born 2001), currently renting a room on Tay Son street, Quy Nhon Nam ward.
According to Ms. L., when she came to the restaurant to buy food, 1 of the 3 young men appeared annoyed, raising his voice, causing the two sides to exchange words. After that, this person continuously cursed and attacked her. When her son arrived, he was also beaten. This person also pulled out a knife from the car to threaten.
After the incident, Ms. L. was taken to the hospital by her son for health check-ups. Currently, her spirit has stabilized, but the head, face and beaten areas are still swollen and painful. Her son's health has also stabilized.
I have never met this group of young people, and there is no grudge. After the incident happened, the relatives of the young man who beat me came to apologize, pleading to forgive me," Ms. L. said.
At noon on April 8, the leader of Quy Nhon Nam Ward Police said that immediately after the incident occurred, functional forces urgently intervened to verify. Currently, the police agency is consolidating the file and resolutely handling it strictly according to regulations.
