On January 9, leaders of Hoang Lien National Park informed that the Hoang Lien Center for Tourism and Conservation of Organisms had just re-released 31 individuals of 10 wild animal species to the natural environment after rescue.
This release was carried out at 3 locations in Ta Van commune (Lao Cai), after the unit completed the review of the distribution area and appropriate habitat assessment.
At the first location, in Den Thang village, the center coordinated with Forest Ranger Station No. 4 to release 2 large-headed turtles. This is a reforested area, with a clean natural water source, stable food source, located far from residential areas and managed by Forest Ranger Station No. 4.

The 2nd location was chosen to re-release large culi, small culi, water hyacinths, wild cats, bird-of-pearl, sa nhan turtles and border turtles. This is a restored forest with good structure, abundant water sources, habitat suitable for the habits of the species and also managed by Forest Ranger Station No. 4.
In position 3, belonging to the core of the special-use forest in Hoang Lien National Park, the center has re-released pythons and red-nosed snakes into the evergreen forest.
The re-released individuals have all recovered their health and natural living habits; the re-release contributes to biodiversity conservation and restoration of indigenous species populations.
