According to the leader of the People's Committee of Ta Van commune, Lao Cai province, on October 10, while working as a fairy, Mr. Hang A Dinh, Seo My Ty village, discovered a monkey lying on the side of the road.
Realizing that this individual was injured and at risk of death, Mr. Dinh took him home for temporary care to ensure the safety of the monkey.
After the monkey stabilized, Mr. Dinh proactively submitted a voluntary application to the Ta Van commune government.
Through inspection by specialized agencies, this monkey was identified as the Red-faced Monkey (Macaca arctoides), belonging to the group of endangered, precious, and rare wild animals that need special protection.


The People's Committee of Ta Van commune has urgently received and handed over this rare monkey to the Hoang Lien Center for Tourism and Conservation of Life - Hoang Lien National Park for further rescue and preparation for release into the natural environment.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Ta Van commune commended the humanistic spirit, responsibility and compliance with the law of Mr. Hang A Dinh.
At the same time, propagate to all people to promote the spirit of forest protection, absolutely do not hunt or store wild animals. When discovering wild animals, it is necessary to immediately notify the local authorities.
Previously, at the end of August 2025, Ban Lau Commune Forest Protection Station (Muong Khuong Forest Protection Department, Lao Cai Province) discovered and mobilized a household to hand over 2 rare monkeys being raised in the family's garden to the Hoang Lien Tourism and Conservation Center (Hoang Lien National Park).
