The incident occurred on the evening of November 22 on National Highway 14, through Nghia Trung Commune, Dong Nai Province (Bu Dang District, the old Binh Phuoc Province).
Initial information, at around 8:00 p.m. the same day, a woman was driving a motorbike with a license plate from Lam Dong province on National Highway 14 from Dong Xoai to Bu Dang.
When the motorbike reached kilometre 25 through Nghia Trung commune, it suddenly got caught with a broken cable running across the road. The accident caused both the person and the vehicle to fall onto the road.
Seeing the incident, people went out to check and discovered that the woman had died at the scene. The incident was then reported to the authorities.
At the scene, the motorbike was thrown onto the roadside. The woman had a wound on her neck, the victim was lying on the road, about 5 m from the motorbike. The cable was broken and stretched across the road, cars could not travel here.
Upon receiving the report, units of Dong Nai Provincial Police were present to handle the scene of the accident. By nearly 9:00 p.m. the same day, vehicles were able to pass through the scene of the accident.
The cause of the accident and the responsibility of the parties involved are being investigated.
