On the evening of November 22, the information "the mother beat her 15-year-old child to death and then called the car to escape, the police are investigating" was posted on a social networking site with quite a lot of followers. Just a few minutes after posting, the incident that was said to have occurred in Phuoc Thang, Ho Chi Minh City caused a stir among many people.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of Phuoc Thang Ward said that this information is untrue and causes panic among the public.

Before this information was posted, the ward police had grasped the information and were working with the family. According to the family, the deceased was T.T.L (born in 1996, formerly from Kien Giang) living with his mother, T.T.T.T (born in 1972). Previously, L suffered from many serious diseases (bleeding cancer, tuberculosis, etc.) and was recently treated at Vung Tau General Hospital.

At around 16:33, T.L booked a motorbike taxi to the hospital for treatment. However, after getting in the car, this person suddenly died, so he was supported to go back to the house and reported to the authorities.

Having grasped the information, the authorities are handling the case according to regulations. In case the person who posts the information on social networks is not true and causes public confusion, Phuoc Thang Ward Police will prepare a file to transfer it to the security agency for verification and handling according to regulations.
