Amid the dry days and the severe heat, the construction site of Component Project 4 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project through Soc Trang province is still bustling with the sound of machinery and the impatience of hundreds of engineers and workers, demonstrating their high determination to complete this key project.

At the overpass 22 under package 10, dozens of workers of Dat Phuong Group Joint Stock Company are still working tirelessly despite the hot weather in late March. On the sparkling bridge piers, a group of workers in protective clothing were covered with sweat but their hands were still rolling the iron posts and welding match.
Mr. Pham Van Bien, a worker at the construction site, shared: "At this time, it is already 7am, the sun is already harsh, the sweat is soaked. Hot weather but we are still fully present. As traffic workers, we are used to the sun and wind. If the sun is too strong, go to the camp, plant trees and relax, and continue working when you are healthy. The brothers encouraged each other to overcome difficulties to complete the assigned tasks".
Mr. Duong Sam Ach, another worker, added: "The rainy season affects the construction progress, sometimes the whole day can only work for a few hours and then have to take a break. So when it is the dry season, the workers take advantage of the time to work to regain the previous progress. All of us are aiming for the goal of keeping up with the progress as required by the investor".

According to Mr. Hoang Ngoc Giang - on-site technical officer of Dat Phuong Group Joint Stock Company, the unit is currently implementing 5 construction teams, including 3 main construction teams and 2 completion teams, with a total of 55 workers. "We are completing the final stages of bridge 29 and pouring the piers of bridge 22, the progress is 15% above the contract. It is expected that the 22nd bridge will be completed on July 31 if the T2 pillar site is handed over," said Mr. Giang.
Mr. Giang shared that the hot weather helps the quality of the project to be higher, making it more favorable for the construction process. The contractor has proactively adjusted working hours appropriately, built camps and resorts for workers to rest and regularly reminded workers to rest appropriately.

According to Project Management Board 2 - Investor of Component Project 4, 4 construction packages are currently being implemented, the total implementation value reaches 25% of the contract value. Of which, the road section reached 11.6%, the bridge section reached 54.2% of the contract value. In general, the implementation steps are basically implemented according to the required time frames in Resolution No. 91/NQ-CP of the Government and the detailed plan of the province.
Soc Trang province is focusing on removing difficulties in sand sources to speed up the project's progress. According to the plan, by June 30, 2025, the total output of exploited river sand supplied to the project could reach 3.3 million m3, contributing to significantly reducing the shortage and ensuring the progress of roadbed relocation.
