Close to the people, close to the people, take care of people's lives
Dak Lieng commune currently has 21 ethnic groups living together, of which ethnic minorities account for more than 33% of the total commune population.
Ethnic groups such as E De, Tay, Nung... create cultural diversity, while posing many challenges in organizing production and improving people's lives.
In recent years, Dak Lieng commune has focused on effectively implementing the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021 - 2025, towards the goal of the period 2021 - 2030.
With the way of "hand-to-hand working", many households have gradually changed their production thinking, boldly applying technical advances to cultivation, animal husbandry, improving productivity and income.

Mr. Y Lieu True's family is a typical example. Previously, with a few sao of coffee, the family's economy encountered many difficulties. Since the commune's agricultural staff directly instructed on techniques for plant care, fertilizer at the right dosage, and seasonal pesticides, coffee productivity has increased significantly.
"Thanks to the enthusiastic guidance of local officials, many of my family's crops have achieved good results, the economy is more stable, and we are no longer poor like before," Mr. Srue shared.
Not only Mr. Srue's family, in the past 5 years, many poor and near-poor households in the commune have also been supported with livelihoods, access to capital and transfer of production techniques. Thanks to that, the poverty rate according to the multidimensional standard has decreased sharply, people's lives have been increasingly improved.
The leader of Dak Lieng Commune People's Committee said that the effective implementation of national target programs for socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas has always been identified by the locality as a key task.
Thanks to the synchronous participation of the entire political system and the spirit of overcoming difficulties of the people, many households have not only escaped poverty sustainably but have also risen to become well-off, gradually taking control of their lives, contributing to building an increasingly prosperous and happy ethnic minority area.

Helping people grasp policies and laws
Along with supporting economic development, Dak Lieng commune also focuses on propagating the Party's policies and the State's laws to each village and hamlet. Thereby, strengthening people's trust and raising legal awareness in the community.
According to Mr. Vo Hong Tai, Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Dak Lieng commune, grassroots cadres always closely combine livelihood support and policy propaganda.
"In addition to going to households to guide economic development, cadres also integrate to disseminate the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's legal regulations so that people clearly understand and implement them correctly," said Mr. Tai.

Mass mobilization work in the commune is being implemented flexibly, in accordance with the living conditions of the people. Village and village activities are often held in the evening - the time when people are free after a day of work - creating favorable conditions for officers and grassroots police to propagate and explain new policies and regulations directly related to the rights and obligations of the people.
Bringing policies and laws closer to the people not only helps people understand and comply with regulations, but also contributes to maintaining security and order, strengthening the great solidarity bloc in the ethnic community in the area.
With the persistent participation and long-term support of local authorities and the efforts of ethnic minorities, Dak Lieng commune is gradually changing.
Effective economic development models combined with regular legal propaganda work have created a solid foundation for the locality to develop sustainably, in line with the orientation of the National Target Program for the period 2021 - 2030.
