Pushing back poverty, eliminating backwardness
In Dak Lieng, village elders and village chiefs are people with an important voice in the ethnic minority community.
With prestige and understanding of customs and practices, they play a key role in propaganda and mobilization of people to implement the Party's policies and the State's laws and policies.
In recent years, the lives of people in many villages and hamlets in the commune's extremely difficult areas have changed significantly thanks to the process of persistent and close mobilization.
Propaganda is maintained regularly, every month people gather at the cultural house to listen to local officials and village elders disseminate important contents.

Mr. Y Non Kbin - Ja Tu village chief said that every month, the villagers gather at the cultural house to listen to the cadres, village elders and village chief propagate policies and laws.
In particular, in recent years, the commune has focused on propagating painful issues such as early marriage, consanguineous marriage and long-standing outdated customs among ethnic minorities and mountainous areas.
It can be said that from this persistent participation, the awareness of many families has changed, especially in issues related to social life, child care, and family planning.
In Ja Tu village, many households that were previously poor or near-poor have now developed their economy stably.

Thanks to the encouragement of village chief and village chief, people boldly applied the new model, producing in a sustainable direction, gradually improving their income. Up to now, many families have built new, solid houses, each with an average value of more than 300 million VND.
Mr. Vo Hong Tai - Head of the Department of Culture and Social Affairs of Dak Lieng commune said that the rate of poor, near-poor households and child marriage in the area has decreased every year.
This is a clear demonstration of the effectiveness of mass mobilization work, as well as the efforts of the village elders and prestigious people in being close to the people and the people.
Currently, the lives of many ethnic minority households in the area have improved thanks to expanding production: growing bananas, coffee, sugarcane on large areas; developing household economy and gradually applying technical advances to agricultural production.
Replicate typical examples, spread positive things

The above figures clearly reflect the current situation of many difficulties, but at the same time also show the remarkable efforts of the local government and community in improving people's lives.
According to Mr. Vo Hong Tai, national target programs have been widely implemented in each village and hamlet, contributing to changing the thinking and working style of the people.

He emphasized: A large family and a large family are always associated with poverty. Having planned children, getting vaccinated and sending them to school are important steps to open up a bright future for ethnic minorities".
In the coming period, the locality requested that all levels, provinces, ministries and central branches continue to pay attention to supporting, especially organizing training courses to improve propaganda skills for cadres, village elders and prestigious people.
This is a force that plays a key role in bringing policies into life, creating social consensus and promoting community development.
In addition, Dak Lieng commune also aims to replicate typical advanced models in many other villages and hamlets.

In particular, effective models will continue to be promoted to promote propaganda, eliminate bad customs, limit early marriage and consanguineous marriage.
This not only helps protect the younger generation but also creates opportunities for them to access education, improve their quality of life and escape poverty sustainably.
The village elders and prestigious people will continue to be the "extended arm" of the government, contributing to maintaining security, order and promoting socio-economic development.
The positive changes in Dak Lieng are showing that this is the right direction, which needs to continue to be maintained and spread throughout the ethnic minority region.
