Khanh Hoa - Police are working with a man in Nha Trang after he drove a Mercedes and drew a sword to threaten a crowd.

On January 12, Lao Dong news source confirmed that the police had worked with Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh (residing in Nha Trang City) regarding the incident in which he drew a sword to threaten a crowd near Tram Huong Tower.

Earlier yesterday afternoon (January 11), a clip appeared on social media recording an incident where a man driving a Mercedes had an argument with a group of people at Tram Huong Tower, Nha Trang.

In the clip, a man and a woman expressed their anger towards a group of people standing inside the park.

During the argument, the man got into the Mercedes and took out an object that looked like a sword and threatened the group of people in the park.

After being stopped by the woman accompanying him, the man then continued to throw water bottles at the group of people opposite.

Immediately after the incident, the police were present at the scene to take statements from all parties.

Speaking to Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh confirmed that he is the main character in the above clip. Mr. Binh is currently the Chairman and General Director of a large multi-sector corporation in Nha Trang.

He said that yesterday afternoon while traveling on Tran Phu Street, he stopped his car on the side of the road - near Tram Huong Tower, to pick a flower branch to give to a colleague.

However, some people rushed to demand to handle the violation, so Mr. Binh was upset and raised his voice. After the incident, the police came to work and made a record.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh himself also admitted that yesterday's incident was due to his own frustration and inappropriate behavior.

Explaining further about his sword-drawing behavior, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh said that because the group of people opposite him put pressure on him, he was forced to use the sword to defend himself.
