On November 25, information from Project Management Board 85 (Ministry of Transport) said that the unit is inviting bids to implement the investment and business project of the Km41+500 rest stop under the Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh component project.
According to Project Management Board 85, the rest stop is built on both sides of the expressway at Km41+500, the section through Xuan Lam commune (Song Cau town, Phu Yen province) with a total area of over 100,000m2, with a total project investment of over 317 billion VND.
The current status of the land for project implementation is production forest land, land clearance has not been carried out. Project Management Board 85 will close the bidding documents on December 27, 2024, the project implementation progress is 15 months.
The rest stop on the Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh highway is expected to be invested in and built with a service facility providing free services, including: Parking lot, resting space, temporary rest room for drivers, restroom, first aid for traffic accidents, etc.
Commercial service facilities, including: Food and beverage service areas, grocery stores, fuel stations, electric vehicle charging stations, restaurants, entertainment areas, children's play areas...
The rest stop also has supporting facilities, places for production and processing of local specialties, places for community activities (organizing fairs, cultural activities)...
It is known that the Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh expressway project started construction in early 2023 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. The project has three construction packages with a total length of 61.7km (excluding the 5.1km section through Cu Mong tunnel), passing through Binh Dinh province (about 19.6km) and Phu Yen province (about 42.1km). The starting point connects with the Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon expressway project (Binh Dinh), the end point connects with the Chi Thanh - Van Phong expressway project (Phu Yen). The total investment is more than 14,800 billion VND.
