The fire broke out at around 5am on October 9 on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway, km181 through Luong Son commune, Lam Dong province. At that time, the container truck was traveling from North to South.
When the vehicle passed about 2km from the National Highway 28B intersection, the driver discovered smoke and fire rising from the front of the vehicle.
The driver quickly hit the sidewalk and left the cabin before the fire engulfed the entire tractor.
The fire spread quickly, completely burning down the tractor end, and slashed the cold box in the trailer behind, leaving a black, smoky patch of smoke on the case.
After receiving the news, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of the area dispatched specialized vehicles and soldiers to the scene to completely extinguish the fire.
The Traffic Police force of Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 (Department 6, Traffic Police Department) and the route management unit urgently arrived at the scene to regulate traffic.
During the handling period, the North-South traffic direction from the National Highway 28B intersection was temporarily blocked, vehicles were transferred to National Highway 28B to avoid congestion.
Rescue vehicles were also dispatched to the scene, waiting for the investigation to be completed, and the burned vehicle will be lifted away from the scene.
The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified by the police.
