On the morning of January 2, the leader of Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province, said that at around 7:50 p.m. on the evening of January 1, on the inter-village road through Tan Tho village, Duy Chau commune, a serious accident occurred between two motorbikes with license plates 92-F1 301.89 and 92-F1 579.49. The accident resulted in two deaths.
At that time, Ms. Ho Thi Le (born in 1988) was driving a motorbike, carrying her husband, Mr. Phan Cong Truong (born in 1988, both residing in Thanh Xuyen village, Duy Thu commune, Duy Xuyen district) and collided with a motorbike driven by Mr. Van Vu Anh Pha (born in 1993, residing in Nam Phuoc town, Duy Xuyen district) in the opposite direction.
The accident resulted in Ms. Le and Mr. Pha dying on the spot; Mr. Truong being seriously injured and taken to the emergency room by local people; 2 motorbikes were severely damaged.
According to initial information, the location of the accident did not have a street lighting system.
The case is being handled by the authorities.
