According to initial information, at around 9:20 p.m. on November 21, Mr. V.T.C (39 years old, from Lam Dong) was driving a motorbike with a Long An province license plate on Nguyen Thi Dinh Street, in the direction from Le Van Thinh Street to Mai Chi Tho Street. When he arrived at address 387 Nguyen Thi Dinh (Cat Lai Ward, Thu Duc City), he suddenly fell onto the road and slid forward.
At this time, a young man wearing a motorbike taxi shirt, carrying a shipper's cargo box, was driving a motorbike in the opposite direction and collided with the victim, causing him to fall onto the road.
The accident killed Mr. C. on the spot. The person wearing the motorbike taxi shirt only suffered minor scratches. People helped him prop up the motorbike and pull it to the side of the road.
According to the camera image, this person stood at the scene for nearly 30 minutes then drove away from the scene.
Upon receiving the report, Thu Duc City Police were present to examine the scene, take witness statements, and extract camera footage to clarify the matter.
That same night, Thu Duc City Police identified the person wearing the motorbike taxi uniform and went to his house to work, bringing his motorbike back to the scene to examine traces and serve the investigation.
This person said his name was N.H.T (34 years old, living in Thu Duc City), a technology motorbike taxi driver and shipper. Seeing the victim bleeding profusely, he panicked and thought he was not at fault because the victim fell first and then collided with his motorbike, so he ran home to drink with a colleague.
