Gia Lai - While it was raining and windy, Mr. Tuyen and his boat capsized while on their way home.

On June 14, Mr. Vu Dang Tuan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Krong commune, Dak Doa district - said that the unit had reported the incident of a couple in De Klanh village having an accident in the middle of a hydroelectric reservoir.

Accordingly, on the afternoon of June 12, Mr. Tuyen (born in 1993) and his wife, Ms. Hoat (born in 1992, residing in De Klanh village, Dak Krong commune) returned to work in the fields by boat.

While passing through the Dak Doa hydroelectric reservoir head, in De Klanh village, the boat capsized, causing both of them to fall into the water. At this time, due to the impact of storms and rain, the wind in the lake area is gusting strongly.

People at the lake promptly rescued Ms. Hoat, while Mr. Tuyen was swept away by the water and could not be rescued.

"Upon receiving the news, the People's Committee of the commune mobilized about 60 people including: Police, military, security forces at the grassroots level and local people, using vehicles to search and rescue," said Mr. Tuan.
