On November 4, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province confirmed that in the industrial parks and economic zones under the management of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, there are many projects behind schedule compared to the investment policy decisions that have been granted.
Therefore, the Provincial People's Committee has requested the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board to propose solutions to handle delayed projects.
Quang Tri province's viewpoint is to resolutely revoke projects that are not implemented or have been implemented but are ineffective and only for coping purposes.
Following the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board said that it has been urging and handling a number of projects that are behind schedule. Of the 25 projects that are behind schedule in industrial parks and economic zones in the area that were previously identified, 1 project has completed basic construction and put into operation; 1 project has ceased operation; 5 projects have adjusted their investment projects.
In particular, there are 13 projects behind schedule for more than 24 months, and 1 project behind schedule for more than 12 months.
For these projects, the Quang Tri Economic Zone Management Board is reviewing and considering terminating investment projects with 4 projects (Tozen Vietnam Fireproof Paint and Fireproof Liquid Factory Project in Quan Ngang Industrial Park; Handicraft and Wood Products Processing Factory Project in Nam Dong Ha Industrial Park; Apec Mandala Grand Cua Viet Project and HPP Kingston HPP 5-star Hotel Complex and Luxury Resort Project in Cua Viet Service Tourism Area); 1 project has been basically completed but has not been put into operation due to financial difficulties (Moonway Essential Oil - Chemical Factory in Nam Dong Ha Industrial Park), currently being urged; 9 projects are coordinating with relevant departments and branches to inspect land and consider adjusting project implementation progress to continue implementation according to regulations...
