Project to handle locations at risk of traffic safety Km163+000 - Km163+500; Km170+000 - Km170+700; Km199+800 - Km199+950; Km200+700 - Km201+000; Km261+400 - Km261+750; Km276+800 - Km277+150; Km280+800 - Km281+300, National Highway 6, Son La province - approved by the Vietnam Road Administration under Decision No. 138/8/25/CDBVN dated September 19, 2025.
This project belongs to Group C, with a total investment of nearly 35.7 billion VND, invested by Road Management Area I (under the Vietnam Road Administration).
According to the investigation of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, on November 10, 2025, Road Management Area I issued a notice of bidding for the project's Construction package.
The above construction package was widely bid online, priced at more than 30.6 billion VND from the state budget (Funds for road economic activities).
In the coming time, after a contractor wins the construction package, the construction unit will handle 7 locations at risk of traffic insecurity on National Highway 6, the section passing through Son La province within 210 days.
Section Km163+00 - Km163+500, road surface is slightly damaged and cracked; sections Km170+00 - Km170+700, Km199+800 - Km199+950, Km200+700 - Km201+000 - Km261+400 - Km261+750, Km276+800 - Km277+150, Km280+800 - Km281+300, road surface is damaged and not in view.
With the scale of the package, the construction unit will repair local damage to the road surface, reinforce the road edge with concrete and asphalt; expand the curved road section; repair and reinforce drainage ditches; complete and repair the traffic safety system (addition of signs, guardrails; repair markers, road nails, road markings...).
The project is invested with the goal of repairing locally damaged road surfaces, reinforcing road edges and asphalt pavements; improving visibility, repairing and reinforcing drainage systems; completing and repairing traffic safety systems, to ensure traffic safety and improve the road's exploitation capacity.
