On September 1, related to the passenger car accident on National Highway 19, Gia Lai province, in addition to a passenger who died at the scene, there were also 3 other victims confirmed by local authorities and the hospital to have died due to serious injuries.
Many injured victims are being treated at medical facilities. The passenger car driver was temporarily detained for investigation.
Regarding the incident, Politburo Member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc has just signed Official Dispatch No. 61 of the Prime Minister on overcoming the consequences of the passenger car overturning in Gia Lai province.
The Prime Minister assessed that this is an incident with signs of causing particularly serious consequences, especially during the September 2nd holiday.

Sending deep condolences to the relatives and families of the deceased victims and cordially visiting the injured, the head of the Government at the same time requested the Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee to direct agencies to focus all forces, arrange the best conditions in terms of health and medicine to rescue victims, minimize loss of life and property of people; organize visits, support, and encourage victims and families of deceased victims.
On the other hand, local authorities are also assigned to direct functional forces to closely coordinate, clarify the cause of the incident and strictly handle the responsibilities of collectives and individuals involved in the accident.
The Ministry of Public Security is assigned to direct Gia Lai Provincial Police to coordinate with relevant units to organize investigations, find out the causes, and clarify the responsibilities of the road section management unit, transport business unit, responsible individuals and drivers for the incident.
The Prime Minister emphasized: "Take strict handling according to the provisions of law to set an example and promote deterrence in complying with the law on ensuring traffic order and safety".
As Lao Dong Newspaper reported, at about 3:10 am on August 31, at Km10+600 of the western Pleiku bypass road, in Hoi Phu ward, a traffic accident occurred when a sleeper bus was traveling on an unused road. The bus overturned, killing 1 person on the spot and injuring 6 others.
At the above time, a sleeper passenger car with license plate 50E-449.17 was traveling in the direction from Ham Rong to Dak Doa commune. When reaching Km10+600, the passenger car overturned on the right side of the road in the direction of traffic.
At the scene of the accident, at the time of the incident, there were 31 passengers, 2 drivers and 1 assistant driver inside the car.
