On the afternoon of July 29, the People's Committee of Dinh Trang Thuong commune said that after a period of inspection and handling, the People's Committee of the commune issued a decision to administratively sanction Mr. Nguyen Van Thang (39 years old, residing in Hoa Ninh commune, Lam Dong province).
Mr. Thang is the owner of an illegal da mine in Dinh Trang Thuong commune, which Lao Dong Newspaper reported in the article "More illegal da mines operating on a large scale in coffee gardens in Lam Dong".

The decision to sanction administrative violations of the People's Committee of Dinh Trang Thuong commune clearly stated that Mr. Thang had committed an administrative violation of exploiting minerals ( stone) for common construction materials without an exploitation license from a competent State agency. At the time of the inspection by the authorities, there were 2,370 finished rock slashes at the scene, with a total of 11 cubic meters.
Mr. Thang's behavior violated Point b, Clause 1, Article 47 of Decree No. 36/2020 and was amended and supplemented by Decree No. 04/2022 of the Government regulating administrative sanctions in the field of water resources and minerals.
For the above violation, Mr. Nguyen Van Thang was administratively fined VND4 million by the People's Committee of Dinh Trang Thuong commune. At the same time, an additional penalty was to confiscate all 11 cubic meters of finished rock at the scene.
The People's Committee of Dinh Trang Thuong commune also requested Mr. Thang to implement solutions to improve and restore the environment to bring the area where illegal stone mining has been carried to a safe state in accordance with the purpose of using agricultural land.
During the land improvement process, the People's Committee of Dinh Trang Thuong commune strictly prohibited Mr. Thang from absolutely transporting soil, stone and other materials at the scene. Any violations when discovered will be strictly handled according to the provisions of the law.
