On January 15, 2025, the Economic Security Department, Dak Nong Provincial Police, said that the People's Committee of Dak Nong province had fined Cu Jut Livestock Investment Joint Stock Company (Ea Po commune, Cu Jut district) 320 million VND for operating a gilt farm without an environmental license.
The company was also suspended from operating unlicensed waste sources for 4.5 months.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development inspectors also fined the company 35 million VND for raising livestock without a certificate of eligibility.
Previously, during the peak period of attacking, suppressing crime, ensuring security and order for the Lunar New Year 2025, the Economic Security Department of Dak Nong Provincial Police discovered signs of violations at Cu Jut Pig Farm of Cu Jut Livestock Investment Joint Stock Company.
The unit has worked with relevant individuals, organizations and agencies, consolidated records, advised the Provincial Police leaders to recommend the Provincial People's Committee Chairman to direct the inspection and handling of the company's two violations.
Including livestock farming activities without being granted a certificate of environmental eligibility by a competent authority; livestock farming activities without being granted a certificate of animal husbandry eligibility by a competent authority.
The Economic Security Department recommends that the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee direct departments, branches and sectors to strengthen the management of livestock farms from the construction to operation stages. The goal is to ensure compliance with the 2020 Environmental Protection Law, the 2018 Animal Husbandry Law and related regulations.
In the coming time, the unit will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to monitor the livestock situation in the area, promptly detect and strictly handle violations.
