Long crack appears on Ho Chi Minh Road, West branch

Quang Tri - A crack about 40m long, more than 20cm deep, has just appeared on the Ho Chi Minh Highway, West branch, through Truong Son commune.

On the evening of November 4, the People's Committee of Truong Son commune (Quang Tri province) said that on the Ho Chi Minh road, the western branch, through Da Chat village, a crack about 40m long, 22cm deep, with the widest gap reaching 15cm, appeared.

Immediately after discovering the incident, the People's Committee of Truong Son commune reported to the authorities and the Truong Son Road Management Department to conduct an inspection, assess the extent of damage and propose a timely handling plan.

Currently, Truong Son Road Management Department has organized barriers, put up warning signs and temporarily diverted traffic in the area where the cracks occurred, to ensure safety for people and vehicles.

It is known that the Ho Chi Minh Road West branch is a vital traffic route connecting through Kim Ngan commune and entering South Quang Tri, with a fairly large volume of traffic.
