Regarding the incident in which all residents living at Green Pearl apartment building (378 Minh Khai, Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi) had their water supply cut off by Hoang Mai Clean Water Business Enterprise, Vinh Tuy ward People's Committee responded to this issue.
According to Mr. Dinh Duc Hieu - Vice Chairman of Vinh Tuy Ward People's Committee, on November 14, the Ward People's Committee received a report from the Management Board of Green Pearl Building about the water supply to the building being reduced, affecting the daily life of residents. This apartment building is invested by Phong Phu Daewon Thu Duc Housing Development Joint Stock Company.
On November 15, Vinh Tuy Ward People's Committee inspected the current status of water supply to the project and the current status of domestic water reserves at water tanks. Accordingly, the water flow at the supply source is lower than the water demand of the apartment building, the remaining water volume is only guaranteed to be used until November 15.
The reason the entire Green Pearl apartment building had its clean water supply cut off is because the investor, Phong Phu Daewon Thu Duc Housing Development Joint Stock Company, did not pay the water bill to Hoang Mai Clean Water Business Enterprise - even though all residents had paid their water bills in full.
Vinh Tuy Ward People's Committee has organized many meetings and concluded to request the investor to immediately pay the overdue water bill to Hoang Mai Clean Water Business Enterprise.
To ensure a stable supply of domestic water in the area, Vinh Tuy Ward People's Committee requested the investor to promptly pay the overdue water bill to Hoang Mai Clean Water Enterprise.
Request Hoang Mai Clean Water Business Enterprise to urgently inspect and immediately implement stable water supply for Green Pearl project, ensure social security, order and fire prevention and fighting in the area.
Coordinate with the investor and the Management Board to find solutions to overcome and ensure the supply of domestic water at the project.
Hai Ba Trung District People's Committee also issued document 2248 requesting the investor to provide clean water at Green Pearl apartment building.
The document clearly states: According to the design of the Green Pearl Residential Area project and current regulations, currently, the water source that Hoang Mai Clean Water Business Enterprise sells to residents of the Green Pearl apartment building must go through a general meter owned by Phong Phu Daewon Thu Duc Housing Development Joint Stock Company.
If Hoang Mai Clean Water Business Enterprise closes the water source through this main meter, it will lead to a shortage of domestic water and water for fire prevention work of residents of Green Pearl apartment building, causing serious consequences.
The People's Committee of Hai Ba Trung District has written a written request to Daewon Thu Duc Phu Duc Development Joint Stock Company urgently paying the outstanding debt to Hoang Mai Clean Water Business Enterprise under a contract with Hoang Mai Clean Water Business Enterprise.
However, up to now, Phong Phu Daewon Thu Duc Housing Development Joint Stock Company has not completed this work. To ensure domestic water and fire protection for residents of Green Pearl apartment building, to avoid serious consequences affecting security and order in the area.
The District People's Committee requested Phong Phu Daewon Thu Duc Housing Development Joint Stock Company to urgently pay the outstanding water bill to Hoang Mai Clean Water Business Enterprise.
If not implemented, causing water supply service interruption, causing insecurity and disorder in the area and other consequences, Phong Phu Daewon Thu Duc Housing Development Joint Stock Company must take full responsibility before the law.
Hoang Mai Clean Water Business Enterprise needs to proactively coordinate with Phong Phu Daewon Thu Duc Housing Development Joint Stock Company to collect outstanding water bills.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, at 10:00 p.m. on November 15, residents living at Green Pearl apartment building (378 Minh Khai, Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi) had to scramble to find water for daily use.
Ms. Cam Trang - a resident of Green Pearl apartment building (378 Minh Khai, Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi) said: "The sudden water cut has turned the lives of residents upside down. I had to take my children back to the countryside because without water, how can we live here? Sometimes, I even have to hold my water when going to the toilet because there is no water," Ms. Cam Trang said indignantly.
According to Ms. Cam Trang, the reason for the water outage was because the investor of Green Pearl apartment building was slow to pay the water bill to Hoang Mai Clean Water Business Enterprise, leading to the water being cut off to all residents of the building.
