Trang An river bridge construction project (hereinafter referred to as Trang An bridge) at the intersection of Le Thai To street and Trang An street, Hoa Lu ward, Ninh Binh province.
The project has a construction investment scale including 2 bridge units running parallel and 11.8m apart. The cross-section scale of 1 unit is 16.5m wide (carriage surface 10.5m wide, railings on both sides 1m wide, sidewalk on one side 5m wide).
In the position between the 2 bridge blocks, a pedestrian bridge and a scenic tower are arranged with a cross-section width of 7.9m (7.1m pedestrian side + side railing 0.8m wide). The scenic tower is arranged between the pedestrian bridge with a scale of about 163.84m2 (12.8m x 12.8m).
Tunnels are arranged on both sides of the bridge to connect pedestrians from the walking paths on both sides of the river to the pedestrian bridge and the observation tower.
The total investment of the project is nearly 180 billion VND from the city's budget. The project implementation period is from 2024 - 2027. The project is invested by the Ninh Binh Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 1.
On February 2nd, present at the Trang An bridge construction area, according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, hundreds of workers along with equipment and machinery are urgently constructing to speed up progress.
The access road to the bridge at the intersection with Trang An street is being paved with asphalt. Le Thai To street is also being urgently compacted for concrete pouring and asphalt paving. The bridge deck has basically completed the concrete pouring part, and the underpass and scenic tower items are also being urgently deployed to ensure progress.
Mr. Tran Quang Thuy - a worker currently working here said that currently workers are divided into 2 teams, one team working from 6 am to 8 pm daily and one team working from 8 pm to 6 am the next morning.
Taking advantage of favorable weather days, we are making efforts to speed up progress and shorten project construction time" - Mr. Thuy shared.
Mr. Tong Duc Long - Deputy Director of Investment and Construction Project Management Board No. 1 of Ninh Binh province said that this is one of the key projects to gradually complete and connect the waterway transport network between areas, focusing on Trang An, Tam Coc Bich Dong tourist areas with neighboring areas.
Thereby, contributing to synchronously completing urban transport infrastructure, urban drainage, ensuring traffic safety for vehicles, people and tourists, promoting service, tourism, socio-economic development and Ninh Binh urban construction.
According to the plan, technical traffic will be opened before the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 to serve the travel needs of people" - Mr. Long said.
