The People's Committee of Ben Tre province has just issued Decision No. 50/2024/QD-UBND on the quantity, types, and management methods of cars for general work and standards and norms for specialized cars for agencies, organizations, and units under the management of Ben Tre province.
Notably, among the units with car quotas, Ben Tre College is allocated 2 cars for general work, including 1 5-seat car and 1 7-seat car. This unit is also allocated 15 specialized cars for driving practice.
Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee prescribes the method of managing cars for public service as follows:
For provincial agencies, organizations and units, the management of cars for general work is assigned to each agency, organization and unit with standards and norms for using cars to directly manage and use for general work (called direct management method).
For agencies, organizations and units assigned to directly manage automobiles as prescribed in Clause 1 of this Article that have affiliated or subordinate units, the head of the unit shall decide on the centralized management method or the direct management method or a combination of both methods as appropriate.
Standards and norms for specialized automobiles of agencies, organizations and units are specified in detail in Appendix II issued with this Decision.
Regarding implementation, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, organizations and units to organize the implementation of this decision; review and rearrange the existing number of cars and handle surplus cars according to regulations.
Agencies, organizations and units are responsible for fully and accurately updating automobile data after review and processing into the national database on public assets within the prescribed time limit.
Ben Tre State Treasury shall, based on the regulations on quantity, types, and methods of managing cars for general work and the standards and norms for specialized cars prescribed in this Decision, control expenditures and payments when agencies, organizations, and units make purchases.
