In a recent meeting, the BMW M2 impressed with its characteristic compact sporty design. However, the focus of attention belonged to the BMW M3 Touring - a high-performance wagon that is rarely seen in Vietnam.
Unlike the BMW M3 sedan version that was brought to the country before, the BMW M3 Touring owns a wagon body with an extended rear, bringing a more spacious luggage space. This design is favored by many customers in Europe thanks to the ability to combine the practicality of a family car and the operating performance of a sports car model.
BMW M3 Touring has dimensions of length x width x height of 4,801 x 1,903 x 1,446 mm respectively, wheelbase reaches 2,857 mm. The car is equipped with adaptive LED lighting system, 826M M alloy wheels with dimensions of 19 inches in front and 20 inches in rear, accompanied by high-performance M braking system, M Sport differential and M adaptive suspension.
Inside the cockpit, the high-performance wagon uses a black Merino leather interior combined with dark gray trim details. The car owns many amenities such as a headlight information display (HUD), Harman Kardon sound system, M Sport sports seats integrated with a luminous logo, 3-zone automatic air conditioning, front seats with heating function and a 360-degree parking camera system.
Providing power for the BMW M3 Touring is the S58 6-cylinder in-line twin-turbo TwinPower Turbo engine, producing a maximum power of 530 horsepower and a maximum torque of 650 Nm. Power is transmitted to the four wheels through an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission and xDrive drive system.
According to the manufacturer's announcement, the BMW M3 Touring is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
The appearance of the BMW M3 Touring next to the BMW M2 brings a rare opportunity for car lovers in Vietnam to admire two high-performance models of the BMW M line, of which the M3 Touring is a special name thanks to its wagon design, which is not popular in the domestic market.
