Voters' recommendations on driving practice kilometers
Voters in Binh Duong province believe that the regulations on the number of kilometers of driving practice for classes B1 and B2 according to Circular 04/2022/TT-BGTVT are unreasonable.
Specifically, according to this circular, students taking the B1 and B2 driving license test must practice at least 810 km on the road. Voters believe that this regulation wastes a lot of time and effort for both students and practice teachers. Therefore, they recommend that the Ministry of Transport consider amending this regulation to create more favorable conditions.
Ministry of Transport: Maintain the number of kilometers for driving practice
Responding to the above proposal, the Ministry of Transport said that in the process of drafting Circular No. 35/2024/TT-BGTVT (issued on November 15, 2024) on training, testing and granting driving licenses, the Ministry sought opinions from the People's Committees of provinces and cities, the Department of Transport and organizations and individuals.
According to the Ministry of Transport, during the synthesis process, there were no suggestions to change the number of kilometers of driving practice. Therefore, this regulation continues to be inherited in the new Circular.
According to Clause 1, Article 7 of Circular 35/2024/TT-BGTVT, the regulations on the number of kilometers of driving practice are as follows:
Class B automatic transmission (formerly B1, including electric cars): 710 km practice.
Class B (formerly B2): 810 km of practice.
The Ministry of Transport emphasized that this number of kilometers has been applied consistently over the past 18 years and helps ensure that students have sufficient skills to safely operate vehicles after the training course.
Therefore, the Ministry of Transport recommends that voters of Binh Duong province continue to comply with current regulations.
